VIBRANT HEALTH @ Movati Athletic Richmond Hill

with Khim Lim

People often come up to me after a yoga class asking questions:

  • "Do you think ___ diet can help me lose weight?"
  • "Can yoga help me with my stress?"
  • "Why am I always tired?"

This is all fine.  I used to ask those questions too.

But the real problem is not what diet they should follow to lose weight, how much yoga they should do to reduce stress, or simply how much sleep or coffee they need to keep a clear mind.  It is that they're concerned with what OTHER people are doing.

You're health-conscious.  You eat primarily organic, fresh, nutritious and home-cooked meals.  But your weight is still going out of whack and you worry that it might lead to type II diabetes or heart disease.

You practice yoga 3 times a week.  Yet you're impatient with your family, yourself and everything else around you.

You try to get enough sleep every night.  But you suffer from brain fog, you can't focus on task at hand and that compromises your productivity at work and at home.

You know a fit (NOT THIN) body with a clear mind is a reflection of a thriving self.  You long to feel the confidence in your own skin and the deepened self-assurance as you embrace life.

Don't ask whether you can have that. DECIDE that you WILL.

VIBRANT HEALTH is a cutting edge program that transforms your mindset, habit, health, work and relationships.

You will experience the following on this fun journey:

Healthier Eating Habit
More Energy
More Connected Relationships
Higher Work Productivity
Clearer Life Purpose

  • You want to look good and feel great in your own skin.
  • You're sick and tired of your current conditions - overweight, aches & pains, hot flashes, burnout, anxiety, stress, fatigue and mood swing - all because you didn't know better of what to do and if you found a proven method, you'd commit to change from painful to pain-free, from being fat to being fit, from depression to vibrant energy, from hopeless to hopeful.
  • You don't want the current body condition to manifest into other diseases that will cause misery to yourself and your loved ones.
VIBRANT HEALTH is NOT for you if:
  • You're complacent with your current health condition because it HASN'T (YET) bothered you to the degree that you must do something about it.
  • You know health is the most important thing you can have. Without it, your family, your job, your house and all your material possessions are meaningless. But it's not your priority at this point.
  • You want to try other programs or pills because they seem like quicker fix even if you knew the results are not permanent. You're fine with the ups and downs of your health because that's what you think it should be and you don't think you'll be able to change that for the rest of your life.

Translated from Sanskrit, Ayur = life, Veda = science.  Ayurveda is a 5000 year-old traditional science that is designed to bring the body back into balance and heal itself from ailment.  It continues to be one of the world's most sophisticated and powerful mind-body health systems.

The Guiding Principles of Ayurveda:

The three doshas (Vata, Pitta and Kapha) are the foundation of an individual's body type.  The person is healthy when the doshas are restored to its natural state.  The doshas are disrupted as the ama (toxin) accumulates in the body due to poor eating habit, lack of proper exercise and rest, and other unhealthy lifestyle choices. This accumulation of ama will lead to more serious health condition or disease if not being eliminated or reversed.

Circadian Rhythm, sometimes referred as "body clock", is the 24-hour cycle that tells our bodies when to sleep, rise, and eat. When we live in tune with nature, our bodies will automatically rest and wake, crave nourishing food and experiences that align with our bodies for optimum health. When we don't attuned ourselves with the nature, our bedtime becomes irregular, we crave junk food and non-nurturing lifestyle choices. The vicious cycle of little imbalances can lead to discomfort in digestive tract, physical aches and pains, stress and eventually manifest to a full blown dis-ease in the body if left unattended.

The twin sister of Ayurveda.  According to Dr. Vasant Lad, one of the world's foremost experts in Ayurveda who also has extensive academic and practical training in western medicine - Ayurveda and yoga are concurrent and inherent healing systems.

Yoga heals through Asana (yoga poses), Pranayama (breathing) and meditation.

Ayurveda heals through panchakarma (detox program), rejuvenation, herbs, and proper diet and lifestyle regimen.

That is why a Yogi who doesn’t know Ayurveda, he is a half Yogi and Ayurvedic physician who doesn’t know yoga, he’s a half physician. Ayurveda and yoga go hand in hand. They are two sides of the same coin.

On Wikipedia... "“In decision theory and general systems theory, a mindset is a set of assumptions, methods, or notations held by one or more people or groups of people that is so established that it creates a powerful incentive within these people or groups to continue to adopt or accept prior behaviors, choices, or tools.”

According to Bruce Lipton (American biologist), the mind is divided into two main aspects – the conscious and the subconscious mind. The conscious mind is made up of our surface thoughts, wishes, desires and aspirations. The subconscious mind is the realm of our automatic and habitual thought patterns and beliefs – the stuff we do when we don’t even know we’re doing it.

Human beings are set with the subconscious mind programming by the time we reach age of seven.  Whether we realize it or not, our subconscious mind rules our lives more than 90% of the time and this innate belief system can be empowering, or often times, limiting and self-sabotaging.

It's therefore one of the most important factors that determines the success of any initiative or change.

Habit Science

Knowing what you should do and actually doing it are different sides of the coin.  The science of habit evolution is what makes this course so effective – create routine, reminder and reward – take baby step by baby step towards the clear vision of who you want to become next.

How many times have you set up your New Year's resolution that falters by February and diminishes shortly after that?

We've been taught to set lofty goals and to keep our motivation high at all times.  However; researchers have found that most of us are at low motivation most of the time and there's no surprise why we often fail to make permanent change in life, be it health, work or relationships.

VIBRANT HEALTH thrives in breaking down the important components in small do-able chunks, stacking various habits onto one another, making the undesired habits unfamiliar and the desired familiar.

Dynamic Group + Relationship Evolution

Study has shown that like-minded people in groups adopt healthy habits faster.  They troubleshoot and support each other as they move towards a common goal. In fact, the success rate is 80% higher in groups as compared to going it alone!

When we announce our intention to others, we tend to be more accountable in keeping it up. It's human nature to care, share, motivate and inspire each other in a dynamic group setting where everybody is on the same journey, working on healthy habits, facing similar work, home or relationship challenges.

We celebrate our wins, evolve and have fun in the process.

The relationship established in this course is unique because you are no longer a "health nut" or "weirdo". You get to embrace your true desire and grow exponentially with your cohort.

You will rewrite your health blueprint and this time I promise you, it will be the last one you ever need. You will become deeper and deeper rooted with this new knowledge even after you have completed the course.

You will become a healthier version of yourself - body, mind, heart and soul. You will be transformed!

In Her Own Words...

The stress and anxiety that I had before coming into the program were affecting my waistline, my sleep, my time spent with my two children and my husband.

After a few months in, the fat on my waistline started to melt away,  I had more energy, I felt calmer and my husband said I’ve become nicer to him 🙂

Now after practicing the habits for about a year, I can honestly say for the first time in my life that I feel ease and flow that comes from within.  I love this feeling of being content and happy.

When developing new habits you need a simple step-by-step guidance, not whole bunch of information to make you feel overwhelmed.

The mindset coaching and support have helped me continue to persevere. Khim has guided me towards my vibrant self.

It is not easy to find like-minded community who get it and sincerely want you to succeed in your new identity.  Even family or close friends might be entrenched in the habitual lifestyle and not see change being important, or believe it is possible.

This is why you need to be clear of what stress has cost you and how it will affect your health and the lives of your loved ones if you don’t take a stand for it now and find solution for yourself.
